The 27th Japan-Australia Society of Sasebo annual meeting and reception was held on July 9th (Thu), 2009 at JA Sasebo Hall.
The financial results in the 20-year of the Heisei were reported at the meeting. Mr. Yamanaka and Mr. Kazuki Saegusa who had contributed as auditor-secretary hold a position of administration officer by the personnel re-election in this fiscal year. Then Mr. Ryosuke Umemura and Mr. Masayuki Nishizawa newly became as auditor-secretary.
A total of 101 attendees (11 guests, 1 exchange student, 60 members, 23 students and 6 others) joined reception. We invited Wendy Holdenson who was formally inaugurated as Consul General, Australian Consulate-General Fukuoka and received greetings from her. Furthermore, the guests of honor and spouse of Commanders-in-Chief and Assistant Chief of Staff from U.S. Naval Base participated in the reception. The attendees enjoyed chorus of the national anthem and fun song performed by the Seiwa singers and Japanese traditional dance was showed off by the exchange student. The reception went along perfectly pleasantly with all of attendees and ended in one of the great success.
