In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of its sister-ship affiliation with Coffs Harbour, the Sasebo citizen goodwill delegation visited and stayed at Coffs Harbour city from August 6th to 8th in the purpose of further exchange in the future.
This visit of Sasebo citizen goodwill delegation was planned in cooperation both Japan-Australia Society of Sasebo and Sasebo city and was consist of 52 members in total such as general citizens and YOSAKOI dance performers. We had an opportunity to have an exchange of views with Mr. Keith Rhoades, City Mayor, visited Bishop Druitt College and Southern Cross University and planted tree at Japanese Garden in botanical garden. We were able to deepen and increase exchanges with Australia-Japan Society of Coffs Harbour through exchange programs and formal dinner.
We truly believed that we have received an enthusiastic response mutually that we were able to promote exchange at the grass-root level. We would like to make utmost effort with civilian cooperation for the international friendship and goodwill.
