As a part of youth exchange program, junior high school students of Coffs Harbour, sister-city of Sasebo, visited Sasebo for student exchange with Yamazumi Junior High School on December 16th (Fri), 2011. The welcome reception was held for deepening friendship each other.

As a part of International Exchange Program between Sasebo and Coffs Harbour, 3 students of Yamazumi junior high school visited Coffs Harbour (New South Wales, Australia), the sister city of Sasebo, from August 3rd (Wed) to 12th (Fri). This program that was students of Sasebo and Coffs Harbour having a homestay at each city mutually started in 2004 celebrated the seventh time this year. The delegates of this year were 3 students; Yudai Takahashi, Shoichiro Matsuo and Yuka Miura and Ms. Motomura was the escorting teacher for their visit.
During their stay, they stayed at home of students from Bishop Druitt College respectively, attended the classes and school events with their partner students, carried out mayor courtesy visit, and participated in Coffs Harbour city tour.
The students of Bishop Druitt College who has accepted the current delegation from Sasebo were planning to visit Sasebo in the future and would engage in international exchange with Yamazumi junior high school and our city citizens.
